This information has been received from Asthma UK and I hope you find it useful:
From 1st November, calls to Asthma UK’s Advice line will be able to discuss their asthma concerns with an asthma nurse specialist in any one of 150 languages.
The services works in three easy steps:
1. Call our Asthma UK Advice line on 08457 01 02 03
2. Tell us which language you need
3. We immediately connect with the National Interpreting Service so you can
continue your conversation with our asthma nurse specialist through and interpreter.
This service is completely confidential and is available at the same local telephone call charge as a standard call to the Asthma UK Advice line.
We have also translated frequently asked questions and answers on asthma into
16 languages and you can find these on our website:
www.asthma.org.uk.
We feel that having asthma information and advice available in 150 languages will enable more people to benefit from the professional, independent help that our asthma nurse specialists provide.
We would welcome your feedback to this service. Please call Simon Selo on 020 7704 5813 with your comments and suggestions.
