To lobby those who can bring about SCARS objectives, to carry out practical restoration work, to research archive material relevant to the canal, to educate/inform the public via talks and literature, to liaise with other waterway organisations, to liaise with environmental groups, to ensure that SCARS work contributes constructively to environmental improvement.
