This meeting was called specifically to discuss the bid for funding from the Active Communities Development Fund. £10 000 is available each year for 3 years.

We plan to open the club at Chesnut Lodge every Tuesday evening throughout the year, from 6-8pm. A coordinator will be appointed.

Actions

• SL to email costings for coaches, cleaning, caretaking and coordinator to ST and include ‘in kind’ costings for overheads
• ST to enquire about ‘electronic’ form
• ST to email local HE institutions to advertise coordinator’s post
• ST to speak to coaches to judge interest
• ST to find out when grant will be paid
• SL to seek approval from Chesnut Lodge governors
• ST to apply for ‘small grant funding’ from SRB4
• Committee to apply for ‘Awards for All’ once Active Communities funding has been received
• Committee to consider issues regarding sustainability of club after 3 years, eg sponsorship from local industry and commerce and grant awarding bodies
• Committee to give some thought to designs for stationery
• Volunteers to be sought from local community
• SL to email minutes to ST
