Matters arising

 

KS asked for clarification about the status of the coordinator’s employment – eg employer, payment details.  This was given.

 

GR outlined the plans for the Runcorn club.  Projected numbers are good.

 

Draft memo/constitution for the Forum

 

  • We discussed the name of the club and forum and the status of both.  The question of using the word ‘access’ should be used to indicate generic interest.  Should the word ‘sport’ be used in the name of the forum?  No decision was made, though we would expect to adopt a memorandum for the ‘Forum’ and a constitution for each sub section eg the Sports Club.
  • The constitution for the Sports Club will be treated as a priority.
  • The status of the memorandum was considered – uncorporated body, liability of trustees, ‘objects’ to be included in the memorandum.
  • GR to have further discussion with Debbie Dalby of HVA and also to contact Warrington Alliance.
  • Working party set up to write draft memorandum, covering employment, access, sport, leisure and carers.  Members to be MF, KS and GR.

 

Child Protection

 

  • KS and SL to email sample policies to GR

 

Sports Club

 

  • Provision of container deferred until September.
  • SL will supervise the club in an emergency during termtime if IJ cannot do so.  EB will meet members at gate to give information during holidays.
  • Contact numbers to be sent to GR and SL.
  • Note to be sent to members with information about the procedure for the club if IJ unable to attend.

 

Kingsway swimming

 

  • LW reported that the Tuesday swimming session is well supported and that the Saturday taster session on 21 June was too.  Hopeful that these will continue.
