Minutes – the minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true and proper record.

Matters arising –

IR has been voted onto the executive board of Halton Together.  He will contact other organisations.

Sports Club –

Dance is to be introduced to the Widnes club after Christmas.  RO mentioned The Anglican Cathedral’s centenary celebrations which include dance (contact Church House Liverpool if interested) and the Merseyside Dance Initiative.

Celebration December 16 – for both clubs at Chesnut Lodge 5-7pm.  SL to clarify request for buffet from IJ.  Press to attend.

SL asked about insurance.  School’s public liability only covers accidents as a result of defect in building.  Coach’s insurance covers accidents during the course of activity.  Club would need its own public liability to cover other eventualities.

Membership – only 4 at Runcorn club.  Need to attract more members.  PP to produce flier and send out, especially to youngsters attending out of borough placements.

JM to meet IJ to discuss how Barnardo’s can help students move (funded only for 5-13 yr olds)

We discussed providing a broader range of sports activities and PP said she would contact Darren Chapman concerning golf coaching.  We thought it would be useful to invite representatives of other clubs to come to the forum and give us a brief presentation.

A.O.B.

MF said that a representative of the Youth Federation had offered to help the forum regarding funding bids and action plans.  GR has details
