Minutes – the minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true and proper record.

Matters arisingCS, GR and MF had met to discuss the constitution.  The group needs to become a registered charity and the matter of trustees was discussed.  We continue to have a need for wider community involvement.  GR raised the possibility of forming a federation to represent all disability groups within the borough and appointing a development worker.  We discussed ways of achieving this – through HVA possibly.  IR said that he and his wife would begin to contact other organisations.  SL said she would contact past pupils and ask other special school heads to do the same.

SL will approach HBC regarding planning permission for the container at Chesnut Lodge.

The Runcorn Club will open on 9 October at Brookvale Recreation Centre.  The club will meet weekly from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.  A programme of activities has been planned up until Christmas.

Halton Information Exchange has arranged a Disability awareness raising evening on October 7 at Kingsway.  There is some confusion over the organisation so far as it affects the Sports Club.  IJ has sent a note to parents concerned.

Community Empowerment Network – LW asked for a member of the Forum to be nominated to serve on the Halton Together panel.  The Forum would also need to be a member of Halton Together.  Ian Rigby volunteered to do this.  The panel enables local people to take part in decision making by the Strategic Partnership.
