Matters arising

 

The Forum:  We agreed that the forum needs to look at its constitution and to consider a change of name – at a later date.  CR will send out a letter to encourage greater participation in the forum.  MF to finalise the letter headed paper.

 

The Sports Club

 

  • To start 14 January, with the official launch March 4.
  • Ian Johnstone will be the coordinator initially, but the post to be advertised in Job Centre by Halton Disability Services.  ST to liaise with NG over the job description.  ST will request a CRB check on IJ.
  • IJ to visit local schools to advertise the club and raise interest.
  • IJ to draw up 6 week programme of activities.
  • Coordinator to report to Forum each month and present a plan for the next month.
  • Club to adopt Halton BC’s child protection policy.
  • IJ to design membership forms.
  • Club to be renamed by members during the first few weeks – through a competition.
  • IJ/ST to investigate affiliation to national bodies.
  • GR to contact Sport England and Charity Commission over the constitution.  To be further discussed by GR, ST, IJ on November 5.
  • The coordinator will have access to HBC and Chesnut Lodge School offices after 4pm for administration purposes.
  • GR to send expenses claim form to IJ.
