MISSION STATEMENT:
To inform and facilitate voluntary and community groups to enable
their participation in the workings of the Local Strategic Partnership
KEY ROLES:
- Set priorities and key actions in relation
to the delivery of the Community Empowerment Fund action plan
with advice and support from Halton Voluntary Action
- To ensure effective two way communication between sector and
the Local Strategic Partnership and development of ideas and
initiatives to further the aims of the Community Empowerment
Fund under the guidance of the Halton Together Partnership with
particular focus on “hard to reach” groups.
- To ensure effective two way communication between representatives
and the groups they represent.
- Identify and establish links to local initiatives and regeneration
strategies.
- Advise members regarding the support and allocation of funds
to projects.
- To ensure monitoring and evaluation procedures to measure
the impact of Community Empowerment Fund on local communities
are inn place.
- To develop a procedure for the selection of representatives
to the local Strategic Partnership and other relevant partnerships.
- To promote the aims of Community Empowerment Fund to the wider
community.
UNDERTAKINGS:
- To administer and apply appropriate financial
control to the budget of the Network.
- To value the diversity and culture of groups and communities.
- To develop the skills, knowledge and experience of Halton
Together members to facilitate effective participation.
- To listen to all view points without prejudice and assumption
MEMBERSHIP:
- Open to
all voluntary and community organisations and groups, based
or working in Halton.
MEETINGS:
- The network
will meet as and when necessary. Failure to attend either 3
consecutive meetings or more than 5 meetings within a 12 month
period may result in members being asked to step down and another
member from their sub-group being elected to replace them
SERVICE:
- Halton
Voluntary Action will be responsible for notification of meetings,
taking minutes and formulating agendas with Halton Together
